Ever since his football playing days at LSU ended, Chris has been advising small businesses, Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits and athletes on managing business operations, protecting assets and, in general, identifying and mitigating a variety of business risks.

Over the past decade, Chris has served as a (i) financial manager for a nonprofit, managing a budget in excess of $1.2 million; (ii) financial services auditor at a Big 4 CPA firm, (iii) senior SEC reporting analyst at a Fortune 500 global manufacturing firm, (iv) bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, borrower's counsel and bank counsel at a regional law firm based in the Southeast, (v) founder of an online SaaS platform designed for supporting creative entrepreneurs, (vi) technical accounting and financial reporting consultant for a regional power and gas company and (vii) technical accounting manager for a Fortune 500 coffee company.

From his roles, Chris has been involved in:

  • researching, analyzing and advising private investors on risk related to private investment opportunities,

  • preparing and filing Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reports for both publicly-traded and private companies,

  • measuring the fair value of assets and liabilities and accounting for them,

  • drafting disclosure documents for the issuance of municipal bonds, membership interests and other securities,

  • ensuring U.S. GAAP accounting compliance and appropriate disclosures,

  • researching various tax requirements for businesses and governmental agencies,

  • drafting documents for mergers and acquisitions,

  • ensuring, and testing for, SOX controls compliance,

  • auditing financial records and

  • performing other general business transactional work.

Today, Chris uses his expansive background in a variety of industries to provide a unique blend of experience and knowledge for his clients.

Growing up, Chris's family didn't have access to, or the funds to hire, attorneys, CPAs or other business professionals to help with his business ideas. It was this accessibility and barrier issue that inspired him to become an attorney and CPA. Today, Chris works hard to eliminate barriers between great ideas created by aspiring entrepreneurs and high quality, honest business professionals that can help bring those ideas to life and keep them alive.
